About Seakeeper
Seakeeper is a gyroscopic stabiliser. A flywheel spins inside a vacuum at up to 9,750 rpm; when the boat rolls, the sphere tilts fore and aft and the gyroscopic torque counteracts the roll. It removes up to 95% of it.
There are no appendages outside the hull and the power draw is modest, so it can be retrofitted where fins cannot. Units are built and tested in Mohnton, Pennsylvania, and cover vessels from 23 ft upward.
