Yacht decking

We source, fabricate, lay and repair decks in teak, cork, foam and synthetic teak, from our own joinery.

What we do

Sourcing, fabrication, removal, installation, lamination and veneer pressing, in teak, cork, foam or synthetic. Our carpenters also restore other timber: mahogany tables, doors, frames and parquet.

How we do it

Natural teak is Burma or Iroko, sourced and fabricated in our own joinery, then laid, caulked and, where the boards allow, sanded back rather than replaced. We bond it with Tikal adhesives and sealants, which are formulated for heat and UV.

We also supply and fit Marine Cork, U-Dek and Permateek. Teak is the material a surveyor and a buyer both recognise, and it is the one that needs work; the other three exist because not every owner wants that work. We will tell you which one suits the boat rather than which one we hold.

Why it matters here

UAE humidity and heat are hard on a deck, and a deck is one of the few things on a yacht that affects both how it feels and what it is worth.

Who does it

Our own carpenters, employed by MS1. They have 15 years each and work from our own joinery, which is why a repair matches the original rather than approximating it.
