What we do

We paint hulls and structures, including metallic finishes: the hardest to get right and the least forgiving of a rushed prep. We work on fibreglass, steel and aluminium yachts.

How we do it

Our painters spray with the latest Anest Iwata equipment following a strict protocol that MS1 has developed over the years.

We supply and apply the Alexseal coating system: primers, fillers, fairing compounds and topcoats designed to work together. Alexseal topcoats are repairable, so a scuff on a topsides panel becomes a local repair rather than a full respray.

Why it matters here

Who does it

Our own painters, employed by MS1. Our senior painter has more than 20 years on metallic work: Pershing, Sessa, Riva, Azimut, Tecnomar. He is trained by both Awlgrip and Alexseal.
